Alpine German Speaking Mission....The most beautiful mission in the world!

"But this is not all; they had given themselves
to much prayer, and fasting; therefore they
had the spirit of prophecy, and the spirit of
revelation, and when they taught, they taught
with power and authority of God"
Alma 17:3

First Austausch, Ausstellung, and Good Times!

I had my first Austausch (exchange) this week! I went to Passau to Elder Barnhardt.
It was a lot of fun. Passau is a beautiful city.

On Friday afternoon, we had an Ausstellung! (hey that rhymes) We set it up in the
main square in Neuötting and sang, talked to, and tried to run people down for two
hours (not really). It was a lot of fun. We had some pretty good success. We found
a few interested people and gave away a good number of books.

Drawing people in with our beautiful voices and awkward stares.

Another Week Doing the Lord's Work!

Not much for pictures this week unfortunately, but next week will be better.
This is our Church Building! Rather small but I love the Branch here; the
members are awesome and so nice, and everyone is really good friends.
And one day this small Branch will be a booming ward or stake.
Well, I wish everyone a good week!

Shopping!

Okay, well this doesn't really go with the title, but I wanted to throw it in as well.
This is me with our Zone Leaders! Elder Byers, me and Elder Dixon!

Elder Fox and I went shopping this P Day, we both got matching comp. ties and sunglasses,
he got a new suit, and I got a pair of pants! I would say it was a fulfilling day.

Another Great Week Spreading the Gospel!

This past Sunday, I gave my first talk! I feel pretty good about it. And I spoke
for a whole 20 minutes! Never done that before. After church we had a small potluck
as well, which was cool. I got to know some of the members in our
branch a little better. It's a small branch, but the members here are
great. Areas like this just go to show that you can lift where you stand,
no matter how few we are.

Here's my district! There is six of us Elders, along with Elder and Sister Lot, a
missionary couple. We spent this P Day together, and tomorrow we have
Zone Training! In April, we also get to be addressed by Elder Bednar!
We are looking forward to that. In the picture (left to right): Elder Barnhardt,
Talbert, Fox, me, Dean, and Mateer.

First Week Out In the Field!

We were all received at the airport by President and Sister Kohler, Tanner Kohler (blue
jacket), Elders Packer, Dickson, Nielson, and Byers!

All of us missionaries gathered together at the train station in München.
I have never seen so many missionaries in my life! It was really cool.
There were about 40-50 missionaries, all coming together for transfers.

My first companion and trainer, Elder Fox, and I!
Also known as my dad (weird mission lingo).
He is pretty cool!
